GoSolo Verdict

The Tecno Camon 50 Pro 4G is a mid-range 4G phone with a sharp 144Hz AMOLED display, decent dual rear cameras, and solid battery capacity, but it's hamstrung by an entry-level chipset and weak video specs that belong to 2023, not 2026. For the Global South buyer choosing between local options at this price, it's competent for daily use but not a standout for the year.

Strengths · 4

6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display is bright and smooth—a genuinely nice screen for everyday scrolling and gaming, rare at this price point
6150 mAh battery with IP68/IP69K certification offers real durability and all-day endurance without fussing over water resistance
Dual optical zoom on the rear (3x telephoto) and a brighter main sensor (f/1.8) give solid photo range that rivals often skimp on in this class
Flat design at 7.4 mm is slim and pocketable; 256GB storage is ample out of the box

Trade-offs · 3

1080p@30fps video in 2026 is a glaring step back; rivals at this price shoot 4K, making it unsuitable for any serious content creation
Mediatek Helio G200 Ultimate is entry-level for this year—competent for daily tasks and light gaming, but games and multitasking will show its limits
No charging speed listed and GPU is modest, leaving questions about day-to-day responsiveness and whether this phone will age well
