display

12.7-inch LCD, 90Hz, 300 nitsThe 300-nit brightness and 90Hz refresh make indoor reading and scrolling smooth, but outdoors in direct sun you may need to shade the screen for comfort.

performance

Helio G100, Mali-G57 MC2This is a tablet aimed at everyday tasks and casual gaming, not demanding 3D titles; expect smooth performance for browsing, email, and light games at medium settings.

battery

8400 mAh, roughly 10 to 12 hours screen timeAt the display's moderate settings and size, an 8400 mAh cell should carry you through a full day of mixed use without needing to charge.

storage

256GB UFS 3.1, no expansionOne storage tier (either 6GB or 12GB RAM paired with 256GB) means you cannot add a memory card; choose the 12GB model if you multitask or install many apps.

camera

16MP main, 13MP selfie, 1080p videoA 16MP sensor with f/2.2 handles daylight shots and video calls acceptably, but low-light clarity and zoom will be modest compared to higher-end tablets.

GoSolo Verdict

The Blackview Link 8 is a no-frills Wi-Fi tablet for casual reading, streaming, and light work on a large 8.68-inch screen. Its weak processor and dated cameras won't satisfy anyone who wants performance, but for around $100–150 it covers basic tablet needs without pretending to be more.

Strengths · 3

8.68-inch screen at 8.5mm thin and 329g makes it light enough to hold and carry, a rare comfort for an 8-inch tablet
5000 mAh battery and efficient Unisoc chipset yield a full day of casual use on one charge
Dual-band Wi-Fi and GPS with multi-satellite support; microSD slot lets you expand storage without replacing the whole device

Trade-offs · 3

Unisoc T310 is entry-level even by budget standards; anything beyond browsing, email, and video playback will stutter
180 ppi display density is grainy and soft compared to any modern phone or tablet; text looks noticeably coarse
8MP and 5MP cameras are strictly utilitarian; low light is murky and video at 1080p@30fps is sluggish
