display

11.0" OLED, 1600 nits peak, 120HzThe 1600-nit peak brightness and OLED tech make text and photos readable in direct sunlight, and the 120Hz refresh keeps scrolling through documents and web pages smooth.

performance

M5 chip, up to 10-core CPU, 16GB RAMVideo editing, 3D modeling, and running multiple apps simultaneously happen without lag or stalling, though the workload splits between the 1TB/2TB models (10-core CPU) and smaller tiers (9-core CPU).

battery

8160 mAh, about 10 to 12 hours screen timeOn mixed use, expect roughly a full working day without hunting for a charger, though video editing or heavy multitasking will shorten that window.

storage

256GB to 2TB, UFS speeds, no card slotThe 256GB and 512GB tiers pair 12GB RAM, while 1TB and 2TB add 16GB RAM; all use fast storage for quick app launching and file transfers, but you cannot add storage later.

camera

12MP main with LiDAR, 122° ultrawide frontThe rear 12MP with dual-pixel autofocus and LiDAR depth scanner handles document scanning and medium-range video calls well; the 122° ultrawide front camera captures wide group video calls or selfies without stepping back.

connectivity

Wi-Fi 7, optional 5G, USB-C 4 (Thunderbolt 3)Wi-Fi 7 and optional 5G on cellular models ensure fast downloads; Thunderbolt 3 USB-C lets you connect external displays, storage, and accessories, though you lose the magnetic connector used on prior iPad Pro models.

durability

5.3mm aluminum, glass front, Mohs 4 protectionThe aluminum frame and glass build are lightweight at 444g (Wi-Fi) and moderately durable; Mohs 4 scratch resistance is lower than modern smartphones (typically Gorilla Glass Armor or equivalent), so a screen protector helps.

GoSolo Verdict

The 11-inch iPad Pro 2025 combines a brilliant Tandem OLED display with the M5 chip and optional 10-core CPU to create a capable tool for video work, design, and multitasking—but at £1100 it demands creative or professional use to justify the price over cheaper iPad Air alternatives.

Strengths · 4

Tandem OLED display with 1600 nits peak brightness and 120Hz delivers excellent text clarity and smooth scrolling, well ahead of LCD iPad Air.
M5 chip with up to 10-core CPU and 16GB RAM (1TB/2TB tiers) handles video editing, 3D work, and heavy multitasking without stalling.
Thunderbolt 3 USB-C with DisplayPort lets you connect external monitors, fast storage, and creative tools—something iPad Air still cannot do.
LiDAR scanner on the rear camera enables document scanning, spatial awareness in AR, and depth data for creative apps.

Trade-offs · 3

At £1100 base price, it costs roughly £300 more than iPad Air 11-inch with M2 chip—the real-world performance gap does not justify that for most users.
Storage is capped at 2TB and there is no microSD expansion, so buyers committed to large video libraries or raw footage must pay for the higher tiers upfront.
Mohs 4 scratch resistance is weaker than typical smartphone glass; the oleophobic coating also degrades faster without a screen protector.
