GoSolo Verdict

The Zopo Color X5.5i is a 2017 budget phone that was already slow and cramped when it launched. It pairs a weak quad-core MediaTek chip with just 1GB of RAM on a 720p display—adequate specs that fall well short of smooth daily use by modern standards, let alone today's.

Strengths · 3

5.5-inch display in a compact 8.7mm frame was a reasonable size-to-thickness ratio for 2017
microSD card slot allows storage expansion up to 32GB
Reasonably light at 166g

Trade-offs · 3

1GB RAM and MediaTek MT6580 chipset make everyday tasks sluggish—even by 2017 standards this was underpowered
2500mAh battery is small for a phone of this size and will drain quickly under any real use
Android 6.0 is several years behind even by 2017, and no upgrade path mentioned
