performance

MediaTek Dimensity 7300, 8GB RAM8-core processor and 8GB RAM handle everyday tasks, messaging, and social media smoothly; not built for demanding 3D games at high settings.

battery

6500mAh, roughly 1.5 days light useWith a 6.72-inch 120Hz display, expect about 14 to 16 hours of screen-on time in mixed use, stretching to 2+ days if you mostly text and browse.

display

120Hz IPS, 1050-nit peak brightnessThe 6.72-inch 120Hz screen scrolls smoothly and is readable in direct sunlight at full brightness, though reflections are tougher than an OLED.

durability

IP64, dust and splash resistantIP64 means it withstands splashes and dust but is not waterproof; dropping it in a pool will damage it, and deep submersion voids protection.

GoSolo Verdict

The Y31 Pro 5G is a large-screen, long-battery phone aimed at users who spend hours scrolling. Its 6.72-inch 120Hz display and 6500mAh cell deliver the comfort of extended use, but the 50MP camera and Dimensity 7300 chip are entry-level compromises that limit it to everyday tasks.

Strengths · 4

6.72-inch 120Hz display with 1050-nit peak brightness—scrolls smoothly and remains readable in sunlight without the reflectivity penalty of OLED
6500mAh battery lasts a full day comfortably on moderate use, closer to two days if you mostly text and browse
Thin at 8.1mm and light at 204–208g despite the large screen, making it less cumbersome than rivals with the same footprint
5G support across multiple bands, dual SIM, and IP64 splash resistance cover the essentials for a 2025 mid-range device

Trade-offs · 3

50MP main camera is a spec-sheet number that underperforms rivals at this price in low light and zoom; the f/1.8 lens and lack of ultra-wide or depth sensor limit real-world versatility
Mediatek Dimensity 7300 and 8GB RAM handle social media and messaging without lag but will stutter in demanding games and multitasking-heavy workflows
Charging speed is not listed in the spec sheet, a notable omission that suggests it is either slow or absent—a major oversight at this price tier where 65W rivals exist
