GoSolo Verdict

The Galaxy A27 is a sensible mid-range phone with a large AMOLED screen and a solid camera setup, but it's held back by a processor that lags rivals at the price and 25W charging that feels slow for a 5000 mAh battery. It's worth considering if you value the screen and software support, but there are faster options around the same money.

Strengths · 4

Large 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh, delivering sharp colours and smooth scrolling for everyday use
6 years of major Android upgrades and One UI 8.5 promise longer software relevance than most budget rivals
50MP main camera with OIS handles stills competently in good light, and the 5000 mAh battery covers a full day without strain
IP64 rating and Gorilla Glass Victus+ front and back offer real durability for the price

Trade-offs · 3

Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is noticeably slower than competitors' Snapdragon 7-series chips at this price point—gaming and multitasking feel sluggish by comparison
25W charging on a 5000 mAh battery means about 2+ hours to full, leaving you waiting longer than phones charging at 65W or higher
1080p display on a 6.7-inch screen yields 385 ppi, which is functional but visibly soft next to rivals' sharper 1440p or higher-density panels
