GoSolo Verdict

The Realme 16x is a large, light, capable midrange phone built around a 7000mAh battery and bright 144Hz display that punches well above its €240 price. It handles everyday apps and light gaming without strain, though the modest Dimensity 6300 and entry-level camera leave you knowing where the money was saved.

Strengths · 4

7000mAh battery in a phone that weighs only 217g and is 8.8mm thin—excellent capacity-to-weight ratio, and the large screen means real multi-day endurance for most users.
144Hz IPS LCD display at 254 ppi is sharp and fluid for a budget phone; 1200 nits peak brightness handles daylight well, and the 87% screen-to-body ratio feels spacious at 6.81 inches without bloat.
IP65 rating and MIL-STD-810H compliance plus 1.8m drop resistance offer real durability assurances you do not usually see at this price.
Dual SIM with microSD expansion, side fingerprint, and 5G bands all present—a straightforward, practical feature set with no artificial omissions.

Trade-offs · 3

The Dimensity 6300 is competent but noticeably slower than competing midrange chips in multitasking and demanding apps; expect occasional lag in heavy games or app switching.
Camera is a single 50MP wide module with no ultrawide or telephoto; 1080p video and f/1.8 aperture are adequate but predictable, and a selfie upgrade from 8MP would have been welcome.
45W charging is absent (the spec sheet lists it as a feature but no charging wattage is confirmed in the primary battery section); at this price rivals often hit 65W or beyond, so charge time is likely slow.
