battery

5000mAh, about 1 to 1.5 daysOn light-to-moderate use (messaging, browsing, some video), expect a full day; heavy use will drain it to evening.

performance

Helio P22 octa-core, 4GB RAMBasic apps and social media run smoothly, but demanding mobile games or heavy multitasking will stall or stutter.

display

6.6", 720p, 480 nits peakText and icons are blocky at normal viewing distance (266 ppi); outdoor visibility is adequate but not bright by current standards.

camera

48MP main, f/1.8, PDAF, 1080p video48MP sensor improves crop detail, but real-world detail plateaus below top competitors due to older processing and 1080p video capture only.

GoSolo Verdict

The Hot 9 Pro is a 2020 budget phone built around a 5000mAh battery and a roomy 6.6-inch screen, both solid for this price tier. Its weak Helio P22 chipset and blurry 720p display are real downsides, but if you just want a phone that lasts all day and doesn't drain your wallet, it does the job.

Strengths · 4

5000mAh battery delivers a full day of use on moderate load, rare stamina for a budget phone even in 2020
Dedicated microSD slot lets you expand storage without sacrificing a SIM—practical for a 64GB phone
Large 6.6-inch screen gives you real estate without bloating the body weight to 185g
48MP camera sensor captures usable detail in crops, and f/1.8 aperture helps in low light

Trade-offs · 3

720p display is soft and blocky at normal viewing distance (266 ppi), making text rough on the eyes
Helio P22 stumbles on anything more taxing than messaging and social media; games lag and multitasking stalls
Charges via microUSB 2.0 with no fast charging—expect a slow crawl to full battery
