GoSolo Verdict

The MatePad 12 X is a large-screen tablet built for work and reading, with a bright 12-inch display, good battery stamina, and practical 66W charging. The Kirin T92B handles everyday apps smoothly but falters at demanding games, and HarmonyOS remains a walled garden outside Huawei's ecosystem.

Strengths · 4

Bright, smooth 12-inch display (1000 nits, 144Hz) makes reading and document work visibly more comfortable than 10-inch rivals
10100 mAh battery runs 13–15 hours on light to moderate use, outlasting most tablets at this size
66W charging gets you from empty to full in under 90 minutes with the right charger
Thin and light at 5.9mm and 555g for a 12-inch tablet, easier to hold than iPad Pro at similar size

Trade-offs · 3

Kirin T92B is older silicon; everyday tasks are fine but 3D games stutter and demanding apps feel sluggish compared to Snapdragon or Apple chips from this year
HarmonyOS still lacks Google Play and major third-party apps outside China—useful if you stick to Huawei services but restrictive for many
Mohs level 4 screen protection is below standard; scratches easier than competing tablets with better glass or coatings
