performance

A17 Pro, 5-core GPU, 8GB RAMThe chip handles photo editing, design apps, and iPad games at consistent frame rates without lag, and runs modern apps without forced restarts due to low memory.

battery

5078 mAh, roughly 10–12 hoursAbout 10 to 12 hours of mixed reading, web, and light media per charge, so one charge covers a full day for most people.

display

8.3 inch, 327 ppi, 500 nitsSharp text and images indoors, and 500 nits is readable in bright sunlight but not as bright as larger iPad Pro models; the 3:2 ratio favors documents and productivity over video.

camera

12MP main, 4K 60fps, ultrawide selfieMain camera handles stills for notes and documents with good autofocus; 4K video is smooth at 60fps; 122° ultrawide front camera is wide enough for video calls with background or group photos.

durability

Glass front, aluminum frame, Mohs 4Scratch-resistant glass rated for everyday dust and keys but not as hardened as Gorilla Glass; aluminum frame is light (293 g) and solid.

connectivity

Wi-Fi 6E, 5G optional, USB-C 3.1Wi-Fi 6E is fast for home and office use; 5G cellular version adds GPS, but Wi-Fi model has no cellular or positioning; USB-C 3.1 supports fast file transfer and external displays.
